Rick Adcock
SVP, Origination & Investment, Climate Leaders Fund
Rick Adcock is Senior Vice President for Origination & Investment for the Climate Leaders Fund, a new initiative of the Camco Group. CLF invests directly in businesses, projects, and assets that will generate greenhouse gas emission credits under either the flexible mechanisms of the Kyoto Protocol, or under voluntary emissions reduction mechanisms such as those under development in the U.S. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President for Environmental Markets at World Energy, where he led the firm’s business in the domestic and international markets for green power, renewable energy credits, and greenhouse gas emissions credits. From 2000 until early 2007, he was Vice President, Energy & Carbon Asset Management, at CH2M HILL, where he led international teams developing renewable energy and other greenhouse gas emissions credit-producing projects allowed under the Kyoto Protocol, in Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe. His professional experience over two decades includes co-founding and serving seven years (1993-99) as President of Econergy, a company that provided carbon asset management and project development services worldwide. In 1992, he served briefly as a Special Assistant to the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State responsible for international climate change negotiations. From 1988 through 1990, he managed energy and climate change policy issues as a Legislative Assistant to (then) U.S. Senator Al Gore. Prior to that, he was an energy & climate change technical and policy analyst with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, the Congressional Office of Technology Assessment, and the World Resources Institute. Mr. Adcock holds a M.A.L.D from The Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, a M.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Colorado, a B.S. in chemical engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, and a B.A. in English from the University of Denver.

David Burritt
VP and CFO, Caterpillar
David B. Burritt is vice president and chief financial officer of Caterpillar Inc. He has responsibility for the Global Finance & Strategic Support Division, which includes accounting, tax, treasury, investor relations, global finance transformation, product source planning services and Caterpillar Luxembourg S.àR.L, corporate audit & compliance and strategic support functions including: strategic investments, competitive intelligence, marketing and customer analytics and revenue management. Burritt served as Caterpillar’s corporate controller from December 2002 to December 2004 when he was named vice president. As corporate controller, he introduced the company’s transparent financial reporting initiative — a key component of Caterpillar’s Sarbanes-Oxley compliance that aligns Caterpillar’s internal and external reporting processes. Burritt began his career at Caterpillar in 1978 as an accountant. He served as an inventory and budget accountant in Caterpillar’s foundry operations and then moved to its General Offices in financial reporting and tax roles. In 1990, as manager of Business Measurements, Burritt helped facilitate Caterpillar’s reorganization into accountable business units by designing a new corporate metrics process and business unit reporting structure. Beginning in 1994, he gained international experience by assuming the role of business resources manager for Cat Belgium S.A. He went on to become general manager of Strategic and Business Services for Europe, Africa and the Middle East, and CIS based in Geneva, Switzerland. Prior to his corporate controller position, Burritt helped lead the company’s implementation of 6 Sigma as the corporate champion, driving Caterpillar to become the first company to launch this business improvement methodology worldwide and achieve net benefits in the first year. Burritt graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Bradley University in 1977. He earned an MBA from the University of Illinois in 1990. He also completed the Stanford University Executive Program in 1998 and the Aspen Institute’s Executive Program in 2005. He is a lifetime member of Phi Kappa Phi. Burritt is a certified public accountant and member of the American Institute of CPAs. He is also a certified management accountant and member of the Institute of Management Accountants. Paula DiPerna
EVP, Corporate Recruitment and Public Policy, Chicago Climate Exchange
Paula DiPerna is Executive Vice President for Corporate Recruitment and Public Policy of the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX). Ms. DiPerna served formerly as President of the Joyce Foundation in Chicago, a major public policy philanthropy based in Chicago, Illinois, known for its innovative grantmaking; and Vice-President for International Affairs of the Cousteau Society, whose President was pioneer and ocean explorer, Jacques-Yves Cousteau. As Vice-President for International Affairs, Ms. DiPerna was responsible for all aspects of national and international environmental policy, and interacted extensively with the U.S. Congress, Heads of State, and the United Nations. While at the Cousteau, from 1979 to 1997, Ms. DiPerna was also a writer and coproducer of many documentary films and has traveled extensively globally, including one year in the Amazon regions of Brazil, Columbia and Peru. Ms. DiPerna also has served as a consultant on environmental matters to the World Bank, the Global Environment Facility and LEAD-International, among other organizations. Ms. DiPerna also founded the Jobs and Environment Initiative, which quantifies jobs creation benefits of environmental activities national and in various U.S. states. DiPerna is also a noted public policy analyst and widely published author. She has written numerous newspaper and magazine articles on a variety of subjects, a novel and several non-fictions books. “Cluster Mystery: Epidemic and the Children of Woburn, Mass.”, published in 1985, has become a touchstone of environmental epidemiology. Ms. DiPerna was named an Eisenhower Fellow in 1998, an international program for emerging leaders founded by the US Congress and spent time in Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic studying emerging environmental policy in Central Europe. DiPerna is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and is based in the New York City office of CCX.

Mary Driscoll

Mary Driscoll runs CFO Conferences and CFO Research Services, the executive education and research services arm of CFO Publishing Corp. The latter, a division of the Economist Group, produces CFO magazine, the information source for senior financial executives. CFO is a monthly magazine with separate editions in the US, Europe, and Asia. Ms. Driscoll has served in various positions within the Economist Group for seventeen years. From 1990 to 1996, she was a senior editor of CFO magazine. In that capacity, she developed numerous cover stories on strategy, corporate finance, performance management, and organizational change. Mikael Hagström

As the executive vice president of Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific for SAS, Mikael Hagström is passionate about providing a culture where innovation can flourish, resulting in market leadership both for the organization and its customers. He is responsible for optimizing business performance, delivering revenue and managing operations in more than 50 countries with individual P&L (Profit and Loss) centers and nearly 4,000 employees. An 18-year SAS veteran, Hagström has been responsible for most of the sales and operations for EMEA since he was named vice president of EMEA Sales in January 2005. His experience in growing business in emerging markets and identifying strong leadership to run the local operations has contributed to the consistent strong growth of the region. From 1998 to 2000, as country manager of SAS Norway, Hagström restructured the office and led SAS Norway to record growth, doubling new sales each year for three years. Over the next few years, additional geographies and P&Ls were consistently added to his growing level of responsibilities. Hagström, who joined SAS Sweden in 1989, moved to the company’s European headquarters in Heidelberg in 1993 where he was the head of sales support. He currently works from SAS Worldwide Headquarters in Cary, North Carolina. Hagström is a member of the American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union (AmCham EU) Executive Council and is a frequent speaker on the multinational business climate. Paul A. Hilton

Paul A. Hilton is Director, Advanced Equities Research in Calvert’s Equities Department, a role he was named to in September 2007. In this position, Mr. Hilton examines the relationship of social, environmental, and governance factors to financial performance in order to provide insight to Calvert investment portfolios. Prior to assuming this role, he served as Director of Institutional and SRI Marketing and was responsible for promoting Calvert's institutional investment products and socially responsible funds. With over $16 billion in assets under management, Calvert has provided shareholders with solid financial performance and leadership in socially responsible investing (SRI) since 1982. Prior to joining Calvert, Mr. Hilton was Portfolio Manager, Socially Responsible Investing at The Dreyfus Corporation. At Dreyfus he was responsible for social research and marketing of the Dreyfus Premier Third Century Fund and its variable annuity counterpart, the Dreyfus Socially Responsible Growth Fund. Mr. Hilton has also served as a research analyst in the Social Awareness Investment (SAI) program at Smith Barney Asset Management, a division of Citigroup. Mr. Hilton also worked as project director for corporate social responsibility research at the Council for Economic Priorities (CEP), a New York-based not-for-profit organization best known for its consumer guide “Shopping for a Better World.” While at CEP, Paul spent four months with the Centre for Science and Environment, an environmental research organization in New Delhi, India, developing a program to evaluate the environmental performance of India-based companies. Mr. Hilton holds Master’s degrees in Anthropology from New York University and Education from Roberts Wesleyan College. He is also co-founder of SIRAN, the Social Investment Research Analyst Network, a national group of analysts working to promote dialogue with companies about corporate responsibility. Hilton currently heads SIRAN’s Research and Outreach Committee, serves on the Indigenous Peoples Task Force of the Social Investment Forum, and is Calvert’s representative to the Asset Management Working Group of the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP-FI). Fred Krupp is president of Environmental Defense Fund, a national nonprofit organization that links science, economics and law to solve the most serious environmental problems. The group concentrates on four goals: climate, oceans, human health and the common issues affecting land, water and wildlife. Krupp and Environmental Defense Fund helped develop market-based solutions such as the acid rain reduction plan in the 1990 Clean Air Act. Krupp was a founding member of the United States Climate Action Partnership, a coalition of leading corporations and environment organizations supporting mandatory limits in the United States on global warming pollution. The largest private equity deal ever, the purchase of TXU, was made contingent on Environmental Defense Fund’s approval of their greenhouse gas management plan. Krupp has led the organization in a series of corporate partnerships with McDonald’s, BP, FedEx and others. Since Krupp joined Environmental Defense Fund in 1984, its annual budget has increased from $3 million to more than $75 million, full-time staff has quintupled from 50 to more than 300, membership has expanded from 40,000 to over 500,000, and new offices opened in North Carolina, Texas and Beijing.

Michael Monahan was named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Pitney Bowes in February 2008. As Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for the company's worldwide financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, internal audit, risk management, investor relations, and finance shared services. In addition, he is responsible for the company's corporate development activities, including acquisitions, equity investments, and other corporate transactions, as well as corporate marketing, corporate communications, and real estate and facilities administration. Prior to becoming CFO, Mike served as Executive Vice President and President, Mailing Solutions and Services -- Americas. Mike worked closely with the company’s global channel and operations organizations to drive a worldwide growth strategy for its core mailing business through management of the Pitney Bowes global product portfolio. Mike’s responsibilities included maximizing growth and profitability for the mail finishing, mail creation, distribution solutions, and digital imaging lines of business. Mike is also responsible for U.S. Postal Service and global carrier relations. Mike oversaw Pitney Bowes’ entry and expansion in the U.S. domestic and international mail services markets from 2003-2007. In this short time, the company achieved a market leader position, processing over 10 billion domestic letters and over 30 million pounds of international outbound mail annually through more than 30 locations across the US. In addition, Mike led the formation of company’s Marketing Services division through a series of acquisitions and partnerships. The Marketing Services portfolio includes marketing strategy planning, public/private marketing partnerships, co-op and incentive marketing and other Mailstream related services. Most recently, Mike assumed responsibility for the Growth Group and Advanced Concepts & Technologies. These two organizations are focused on driving integrated growth opportunities across the corporation and exploring new areas for growth through concept development and new technology research. Mike is a board member of the Pitney Bowes joint venture in Brazil. Mike joined Pitney Bowes in 1988 as Manager of Corporate Accounting and was promoted several times within the finance and accounting organization. In 1995 he was named Director, Investor Relations serving as the company's primary contact with the investment community. In 1998 he was promoted to Vice President, Finance and Information Technology for the Production Mail and Document Factory Solutions division (now DMT) where he was responsible for the finance and information systems functions. In 1999, Mike was appointed Vice President, Investor Relations and Financial Research. During this time, Mike led the successful spin-off of the Office Systems Division (now Océ Imagistics). Mark Newton
Environmental Policy Manager, Dell
Mark Newton is Dell's Environmental Policy Manager. In this role, he is responsible for global policy development, stakeholder engagements and corporate accountability on environmental issues, including material use, energy efficiency, product recycling and climate strategy.
Mr. Newton joined Dell in 2003 as Manager of Dell Worldwide Environmental Affairs. Under his leadership, Dell integrated global environmental design requirements into the business as part of its ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility. His team established robust compliance assurance processes, introduced stakeholder concerns into the business and led policy and process development activities.
Prior to joining Dell, Mr. Newton also led product-focused environmental technology programs at Motorola and Apple. He received a Doctorate in Chemistry in 1993 from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Yalmaz Siddiqui

Yalmaz Siddiqui is Office Depot’s Environmental Strategy Director. He is responsible for advising the company on the development and integration of a wide range of environmental programs into the global organization. Office Depot’s industry-leading environmental programs span all parts of the company - from the supply chain (buying green) to internal operations (being green), to business and consumer markets (selling green). Siddiqui’s role includes improving the understanding of environmental issues and opportunities among suppliers, associates and customers. His goal is to help improve the environmental performance of Office Depot and its range of stakeholders. Siddiqui also oversees Office Depot’s five-year, $2.2 million Forest & Biodiversity Conservation Alliance (www.forestryalliance.org), which develops critical information, standards and tools for global forest and biodiversity conservation. The Alliance is Office Depot’s collaboration with Conservation International, NatureServe and The Nature Conservancy, three of the world’s most respected science-based conservation organizations. Siddiqui came to Office Depot in April of 2006 from IBM Business Consulting Services in Canada where he was a Senior Consultant in Customer Relationship Management, and author of the first global study on environmental procurement of wood and paper products. Before joining IBM, Siddiqui was a management consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he focused on the forest, paper and packaging industries. Chris Walker
US Director, The Climate Group
Chris Walker, previously Head of Swiss Re’s Sustainability Business Development, has been seconded to The Climate Group for an 18-month period as US Director based on the East Coast. At Swiss Re Chris ran the unit responsible for developing commercial applications to Swiss Re Sustainability commitments and, in particular, business opportunities in sustainability, ecosystem markets, emissions reductions and renewables. Chris also served as a North American Sustainability Officer and government affairs liaison on climate change/ GHG emissions issues. While based at Swiss Re’s Zurich headquarters, he created and advanced from concept to initiation the company’s Greenhouse Gas Risk Solutions unit, specialising in Greenhouse Gas risk mitigation and opportunity innovation. In 2000, he created and led Swiss Re Group’s worldwide GHG emissions market feasibility study determining the market facilitation role for Swiss Re. An attorney, Chris was appointed to the California Climate Change Advisory Commission, and is a member of Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2), on the board of advisors for New Energy Finance publication, the Panama Canal Watershed Business Plan project at Yale University and the Climate Change Futures Study with Harvard University/ UNDP. Mr. Walker received his BA in Government from St. John’s University, attended the Institute on Comparative Political and Economic Systems at Georgetown and is also a graduate of the St. John’s School of Law. Prior to joining Swiss Re in 1996, he practiced law in New York and New Jersey.

Erhardt Werth is the Executive Vice President of Guaranteed Business Solutions for ARCADIS. He is located in the firm’s U.S. headquarters in Denver, Colorado. As the corporate officer responsible for directing the firm’s Guaranteed Business Solutions program, he works with federal and state governments, the Department of Defense and Fortune 500 clients to develop business approaches that provide financially-attractive approaches to resolving environmental liabilities. In effect these approaches improve the value of under-performing property assets, restore natural resources and provide economic revitalization. Erhardt has lectured extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe on topics relating to environmental risk elimination through performance-based contract models, accelerating the current process for driving impaired properties to productive reuse and providing the assurances necessary to utilize the redevelopment value of properties to finance or offset their clean-up costs. He has been instrumental in the dramatic change undergone by the U.S. Army with respect to how the Army can more confidently and cost-effectively achieve environmental clean up for its bases. He holds a bachelor’s degree in geology, a master’s degree in engineering, multiple state licenses as a professional geologist and hydrologist and has served as an expert witness in jury trials.
