You will receive 18 CPE credits for attending the CFO Rising West Conference. You can also earn an additional 4 credits should you elect to attend the 002 Optional Workshop on Tuesday, October 14, 2008, for a total of 22 credits. Or if you elect to attend the 001 Optional Full-day Training Session on Tuesday, October 14, 2008, you will earn an additional 8 credits for a total of 26 credits. How do I nominate a speaker? The regular rate is $1895, $1795 for conference alumni. You can save an additional $400 if you register by September 22, 2008. Further discounts are available for groups of 2 or more. The conference fee includes complete conference materials as well as admission to all executive education sessions, networking sessions, receptions, luncheons, and continental breakfasts. There are additional fees for attending the Tuesday Workshop or the Golf Tournament. What is your cancellation policy? Substitutions may be made at any time. Cancellations received in writing by September 30, 2008 will receive a refund less a $75 processing fee. For cancellations received after September 30, 2008, you will receive a 50 percent credit toward another CFO magazine conference, good for one year. CFO is unable to extend credits or refunds for no-shows. Recommended dress for all meetings and social functions is business casual. You may want to bring a sweater or light jacket as hotel function rooms tend to be cool. What is the weather like in Las Vegas in October? The weather in Las Vegas at this time is generally sunny with low rainfall and temps between 70 and 90 degrees. Yes, both self-parking and valet parking is complimentary at the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort. How do I get from the airport to the hotel? There is no available shuttle service from the airport. However, the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort does offer shuttle service through their concierge for guests traveling to the airport only. Tickets are $25 one way and can be purchased 24 hours in advance from the front desk or the concierge. The fare for a taxi from the airport to the hotel is usually about $50 one way. How and when can I make hotel reservations? Please call the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort directly at (800) 297-5056 or (702) 869-7777 and be sure to mention "CFO" to qualify for the reduced rate of $215. The hotel does not guarantee this rate after September 23, 2008. Can I extend my trip? The discounted hotel rate of $215 is good from October 11 to 20, 2008 subject to hotel availability. Does the hotel offer shuttle service to the Las Vegas Strip? Yes, the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort offers complimentary shuttle service for hotel guests to the Las Vegas Strip.
